Financial Calculators

A good financial or business calculator can make problem-solving much faster in this class(or anywhere else for that matter). You are required to have a financial calculator for this class, we  strongly recommended the Texas Instruments BAII Plus. For Finance majors, a financial calculator is a must for later classes, so you may as well get one now. Financial calculators allow students to perform cash flow and bond valuation problems in a fraction of the time needed using a basic or scientific calculator.

However, you can not expect a financial calculator to solve all the problems for you, it can not do this. Many problems in Finance require you to manipulate or transform them into a form that the calculator can handle. Questions in Finance are not plug and chug types of questions.
