Announcements

Tuesday, January 16, 2007

*    Welcome to Finance 221!  Look for important course announcements here.  I will also post many of these same announcements on the Aplia website.  Powerpoint Lecture Note files will be posted on the left-hand column of this page in advance of the upcoming lectures.  Feel free to print out these notes and bring them to lecture with you.

*    Important first announcement: please attend the lecture section that you registered in because there is simply not enough seats beyond the students who have registered for each section (particularly the 2 pm section).

Tuesday, January 30, 2007

*  Last semester’s (Fall ’06) exams are posted on the Important Links page of this website.

Tuesday, February 20, 2007

*    Here is the Exam 1 Answer Key.  The exam average was 80.6, median 83.6.  Straight scale of A 90-100, B 80-89, C 70-79, D 60-69 applies to this exam.

*    New Lecture/Iclicker Attendance Policy!  The number of students registered in the 9 am section but attending the 2 pm section has gotten completely out of control.  340 students are registered in the 2 pm section and 445 were in attendance Monday in a room with 365 seats.  Unless you have been previously granted permission by me, you must attend the 9 am lecture if you are registered in that section. To back this policy up, starting on Monday we will only accept correct Iclicker responses in the 2 pm lecture from students registered in the 2 pm lecture section.  Sorry for the inconvenience, but this must be done to ensure that the students registered in the 2 pm lecture can actually find a seat in that lecture.

Wednesday, March 07, 2007
