Program Content - Features and Benefits

The CBA program will provide an opportunity for the attendees to delve into the functional areas of business. A topic will be introduced, including terminology and examples, readings will be assigned to give each participant a background in that area. 

Each topic will then be discussed at length and practical applications will be given. At the completion of the core topics, participants will examine the critical issues facing each organization and develop solutions and recommendations for them.

Business Strategy/Marketing 

  • Learn to develop an understanding of what constitutes a winning position within the business environment. You will be able to identify what makes you a winner. 
  • Learn how to gain and sustain a winning position. You will be able to position your company in a winning fashion. 
  • Learn to determine your competitive position. You will identify your advantage. 
  • Learn how to gain and sustain long-term partnerships with your customer base. You will learn to keep your customers.
  • Learn why an effective marketing plan is a key component of successful business strategy.  You will crete a marketing plan for your company.

Accounting 

  • Introduce the terminology and practices of accounting from the perspective of the user. Will make communicating with your accountant easier. 
  • Utilize accounting information for internal decision-making. You will be able to make more informed decisions. 
  • Learn how to implement cost and profitability of capital expenditures. You will be in control of cash flow.

Financial Management 

  • Learn to interpret financial statements. Your financial statements will make sense to you. 
  • Learn to assess the profitability of capital expenditures. Know when to make major purchases or expand.

Organizational Behavior

  • Learn how to get the most from your personnel. You will be able to make the most of your employees. 
  • Learn effective ways to organize capabilities. You will learn to better utilize the strengths of your organization. 
  • Learn how to extract the maximum value from your resource base over time. You will be more successful.

Negotiating and Conflict Management 

  • Learn to satisfy both parties' needs.  You will learn how interdependence leads to mutual success.
  • Learn to create a win-win situation. You will learn how value creation enhances everyone's position.

Managerial Styles 

  • Learn to understand management differences.  You will be able to manage and lead more effectively.
